This season after reading the UClear thread on this site, I am going to try the UClear HBC230 with the pro mics. I called Chatterbox and was told the bluetooth signal is much stronger than the satellight signal, so it blocks it out. Turn off the bluetooth on the X1 and the satellite gets picked up again. I bought a new sport bike with lower handle bars than my old bike and when I use the bluetooth option on the X1 to listen to music from my iPhone, my Garmin Oregon drops the satellite signal. Also when using VOX it takes a few seconds for the mic to close so the other person can respond, this gets annoying, although you can use the push to talk button even if VOX is activated.

If you get the VOX to work well at 30 mph the mic will open if you start going much faster or if your ski hits a hard object like a rock the mic will open. Distance is good, although the mic's freeze up on ours, voice activation is very touchy. Once you turn them on they are ready to go as long as all the units are on the same channel. I have had x1 Slim's the last couple of seasons. I got tired of dealing with the battery pack and replacing the rechargeable AA batteries and the battery wire inside the unit would break a coupe of times a season. I had a set of Collett's before the 900's came out. I went back and found info I posted last season on both products your asking about, plus the Collett's.
